HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO IMMIGRATE THROUGH ONTARIO’S EXPRESS ENTRY STREAM?
As of March 21st, 2019, the estimated processing time for an Express Entry application through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program in the Human Capital Priorities Stream is 60 to 90 days.
HOW CAN I APPLY FOR THE PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM THROUGH EXPRESS ENTRY IN ONTARIO?
To immigrate as a provincial nominee through Express Entry, you can follow one of two methods:
Contact the province or territory you wish to move to and apply for a nomination under their Express Entry stream (e.g. Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). If you receive a nomination, you would then create an Express Entry profile to indicate that you were nominated. Then, you would receive a nomination through your account, which you would accept electronically.
Create an Express Entry profile and indicate your interest in certain provinces and/or territories. If a province or territory sends you a “notification of interest”, you would contact them directly and apply to their Express Entry stream. If you receive a nomination, you would then accept it electronically through your account.
Regardless of the method you select, you will need to create an Express Entry profile. As such, we often recommend that applicants start by creating their account before proceeding any further.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM SCORE REQUIRED FOR ONTARIO PNP?
In order to be competitive in the Express Entry stream through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, applicants must meet the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score set by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In 2019, this number was set at 400 CRS points. Applicants must also meet the criteria of Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR ONTARIO PNP EXPRESS ENTRY?
To submit an application for the Ontario PNP Express Entry, you must first create an Express Entry profile. Then, you may begin your application.
Log in to your account. Click “submit an application” and select either “returning user” or “new applicant.”
Choose Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream.
Enter your personal information (i.e. name, date of birth, etc.).
Log into your One-key account and you will be directed to the OINP e-filing portal.
Create a profile in the OINP e-filing portal.
Once you complete your profile, click “Finish”.
Then, click on the file number beside the Human Capital Priorities Stream to begin your application.
In preparation for submitting your application, you should have all of your supporting documents scanned. You will upload the digital copies of your documents to the portal to submit in your application package.
It typically takes three hours to complete an application. We always advise applicants who choose to submit on their own behalf to read every question carefully and proceed through each step with care. Questions that are answered incorrectly or inadequately may not lead to a Notification of Interest from the province. As such, be sure to allow yourself enough time to read through your application thoroughly to ensure your application is met with success.
